One year today!

One year ago today, I took the boys from a life that they will never have to return to again.  Thank You Lord for Mason and Micah!  Here is my post about that day a year ago!

GiG Day!

Sorry-but I have tried everything to fix this one. The boys were telling Ira bye. She was our facilitator the whole time in Berdyansk. It was very sad leaving her-she loves what she does.

Outside of Orphanage leaving for GOOD!!!

God Is Good Day!

YES! I have the boys but I have been without internet since we returned to Kyiv to finish waiting for all the remaining stuff with adoptions. I picked the boys up on Thursday morning at around 9:00a.m. Everything went pretty smooth as I checked them out with I think everyone in the region. The Preschool Director watched me as I dressed the boys and questioned me about everything along the way. Like I didn't know how to dress them or I was going to take the orphanages clothes. I am sure she was making sure that I was going to take good care of them. The boys were brought to us and we weren't able to tell everyone bye except for the office people. The director did give me the orpahnages website and asked me to keep in touch. She also gave the boys and myself lots of goodbye hugs and kisses and Thanked me for adopting them and Papa to in America. There is alot to post but I am a little tired and I need to sleep when the boys sleep so I will try to remember to post more. I will say that we finished our day in the boys region with snow, ice and frozen roads. I had never seen a frozen lake but I did that day.
The boys are doing fine and only had a few meltdowns. I keep getting asked about America-I do believe they are ready to get home.
We are calling the day that we got the boys from the orphanage "GiG Day"(God is good) because God has been way beyond good to us everyday of this journey!!! January 6th will always be a day that our family celebrates Mason and Micah becoming an Albritton.
I have posted pictures of the day. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and Thank You again for doing so!!!

Christmas 2011!

These pictures can say more than any words that I can type!

You r STILL working on me...

I love the way that God always shows Himself to us.  Always providing and caring for us when we don't deserve it.  I just finished filming on a tv show locally about our adoption journey.  Once again God gave us the opportunity to share how He has and continues to work in the life of our family.  I had about 15 minutes to share what God has been doing and I felt like I needed all day.  Lord, I just pray that the words I said glorified You.  One year ago today I sat in an apartment in Berdansk, Ukriane wishing I was home with family and friends but instead I was visiting with our two new sons and waiting to leave Ukraine with them.  What I posted one year ago today was that "God is still working on me".  Indeed He is!!!!  Working on me to make me what He wants me to be.  God has blessed our family in so many ways and we are so Thankful that He continues to mold us to be what He wants us to be.  Are you willing to do, go and be what God wants you to be?  Are you willing to be molded by Him?

Picture of Happy New Year 2012!   Mitchell, really-the HAT!!!!
I will post about our first Christmas as a family of 6 soon but right now I must get busy cleaning up from Christmas.  Happy New Year!  I have posted a picture of our first New Year at home.

God Is Good Day! One Year Ago today!

One year ago today Kirk and I sat in a tiny little courtroom with 7 other people that were there in our favor and for Mason and Micah. We were told that 30 minutes and we would be done-well....it was about an hour or so later and we were done. We were asked many questions about why we wanted to adopt, could we afford to adopt, how big was our house, would I be a working mom, would the boys be taught English and many more questions. Some questions we thought the judge must be kidding to ask because the boys had never been to school and taught, didn't even own their clothes on their body, didn't have a family to call their's nor enough food to eat!!!! Needless to say, that we had leave our family back home to come rescue two little boys that God had been preparing for our family and friends. One year later we are so happy that God called us to adopt. We know that we were obedient and listened to His calling. You might ask, Is God finished with us? We don't know. Are we willing to follow His plan for our family?....YES we are. Is He plan always easy? No, it's not but it's the Perfect plan. Thank You to everyone that was and has been a part of Mason and Micah becoming an Albritton. Please continue to pray for our family as God continues to use us in His perfect plan for our lives. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Dedication Sunday/Adoption Sunday

Dedication Sunday

What a sweet service this morning at church. One year ago today Kirk and I were getting ready to board a plan to Kiev, Ukraine to begin to meet the children that God had been preparing for us. This time last year 3 families in our church stood up to testify about how God was using us to adopt and today we were able to dedicate our children to the Lord. We serve an Awesome God!!! One that is Faithful in completing what He starts. Our church also continues to plan for the future of our children. We also voted on building a new sanctuary and once again God proved himself to provide. It want be long that we will begin to build a new church so that we can continue to reach more people for Christ. I hope you enjoy watching the video of the boys dedication service. Please continue to pray for our family as we continue to seek God in our lives. To our Church family, our family and friends-we love you for being a major part in bringing Mason and Micah home to their forever family.
