Roller Coaster of a ride!!!

Well...we can already feel the ups and downs of hosting, it reminds us a lot of our adoption.  As I posted earlier, God has His plan for our family even if we don't understand.  After spending the last two days talking with the hosting agency and finding out more information about "D" it has been brought to our attention that she is not able to be hosted.  Yes, it has saddened our hearts but God has placed another little girl in her place.  We feel that God may have used "D" just to see if we would be obedient to His calling.  We know that God opened our hearts to hosting and we are going to continue this journey with Him.  I can remember 4 years ago when we went to Ukraine to adopt what we thought was a 4 year old little boy and when we arrived he had already been adopted. Yes, we were crushed but we knew God had a bigger and better plan for our life than just as we know He does now.  Some of you have already stepped up to the calling of our hosting needs and we Thank You from the bottom of hearts.  We have had many sweet calls and text in the past 24 hours.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!  At this time we are only 2,200 away from reaching our goal!!!  We need to raise 300.00 of that in the next 24 hours.  I am including the link if God leads you to give www.heartforhosting.com. ( it is tax deductible please put our name on it) Please continue to pray for us and with us  as God leads us on this journey.

It's A Girl!!!!

I know its been many, many months since I blogged.....ok at least a year!!!!  As a family we wanted everyone to know what God is doing!!!!!  Have you tried to tell God your plans or tell God how to plan your life for you?  I am sure that we all are guilty of this.  Sometimes we even try to give God certain things we want and the way we want it.  We also do it in a way that we think God can't handle it.  Boy, do we have it all wrong at times.  We are so HAPPY that God has it all right all the time and we just have to be obedient and just listen to Him.
Today we accepted to host a little 6 year old girl from Ukraine.  We will call her "D" from hear on out.  We will get "D" the first of July and she will go back to Ukraine the middle of August.  We are not sure what God has in store for our family right now but what we do know is that we are to accept this call and once again we are living out James 1:27.  We ask that you pray with us and for us during this time in the life of our family.  The cost to host "D" is $2,900.00 and another $300.00 or so to obtain paperwork fees and updates from our last adoption.  If God leads you to help fund "D's" hosting please do so.  You can give directly to www.heartforhosting.org in our name.  The agency will keep us posted when fees are donated and you will be able to stay up to date by staying tune to our blog.  All donations are tax deductible.  Here is a picture of "D" so you can be praying with us!

GIG Day 2013

GIG DAY!!!!!

(God Is Good Day)  Mason and Micah's Family Day!

Two years ago today, God, myself, Ira (our Interpreter), and many of you that prayed and supported us helped bust Mason and Micah out of an orphange that they would never have to return to again.  They would never be an orphan, they would have their own clothes, food, bed and toys.  They would be loved by so many people.  They would now have a family that loved them more than any words could ever explain.  They would never be faced with some day living on the streets and trying to survive as an orphan.  They would now be able to learn about a God that created them, loves them and died for them.

Our family has come a long way in the last two years and we appreciate all of your prayers during this time.  I have not been a great blogger lately but if you would like to keep up with our family please send me a friend request on facebook (Sherrie Albritton) and this way you can see how thing's are going with us.

We never imagined our family would be where we are today but we are so thankful that we serve a God that holds our today, tomorrow and our future.
